1. Journal that accepted an article of mine (my first senior author publication) will not explain why the third of the fifteen steps remaining until publication is presently delayed. Oh, well, the article probably will not appear in print for a year anyway.
2. Graduate students of my option and year organize the seminar series for the department, which so far mainly has involved me introducing my fellow graduate students to give seminars as a sort of handshaking exercise. (We have other handshaking exercises, but this one puts the most pressure on us. I'm in the midst of preparing mine at the moment.) But recently, I invited about ten relatively local scientists to give seminars. I've received several replies, but my favorite one was the one that addressed me as "Dr. Caelius." Between the journals and seminar invitees, I now hold a Ph.D. by courtesy.
3. I went to Thanksgiving Dinner at my committee chair's home yesterday. It's the second time I've been there for Thanksgiving, and I have to say I enjoy it greatly. My committee chair has a very interesting set of family and friends: a mix of scientists, entertainment industry professionals, and tech entrepeneurs.

By 25, you mean, "years old"? If so, let me be the first to wish you a very Happy Birthday. Congrats on the article, too.
This is something of a cryptic post for me, so if I'm faux pas-ing, I'm sorry....
Thank you.
And now it's the real day. Hope you had a good one, Caelius.
