Correction
Upon further review, MadPriest dislikes evangelicals because in his experience, they coddle the well-off, corrupt youth, and don't pay their diocesan assessments. His objection to the CUs is thus founded on the corrupting the youth bit. This must be a UK thing. Most of the evangelicals I know were "corrupted" long before college.

Forgive any tzpos, I'm on a German keyboard. My question is, why can't interested Christian students form unions on those campuses that are broader in their confession and open to homosexuals? Fr. Markäs recent article on homosexuals and healing hit home, and reminds me of how much damage the Church has done in mz life, some of which Iäm not sure Iäll ever overcome.
Well, that's another point that I didn't mention. Such organizations do exist. Moreover, the "mainline" chaplaincies on UK campuses seem to faciliate such societies. My own college chaplaincy served as a place of hospitality for gay and lesbian Christians otherwise excluded from their homes elsewhere in the Body. I hope this controversy in the UK encourages the support of these student organizations.
