I'm available. My godson was confirmed this day by the Bishop of Pennsylvania and apparently acted commendably. And yes, the irony is killing me.
Blog List Updates
David Huff's blog is now linked. Simeon is gone. I also have added Rev. Dr. Knisely of Entangled States, which is a fascinating blog by an Episcopal priest who sidelines as an astronomy professor. (How I could I not love his blog?) He's also a GC Deputy if I recall, so expect interesting coverage at his site.
Octave of Prayer for General Convention
Which brings me to the next agenda item: the Monastery has been debating about how to observe this week. Well, the theme for today is "Grow in the Spirit."
So I post one of the Collects for today from the BCP:
Day 1: Grow in the Spirit
O God, who on this day didst teach the hearts of thy faithful people by sending them the light of thy Holy Spirit: Grant us by the same Spirit to have a right judgment in all things, and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort; through the merits of Christ Jesus our Savior, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the same Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.
And since it's nearly tomorrow, I probably should post a prayer for "Grow in Hope."
Here is the Collect for Proper 27:
Day 2: Grow in Hope
O God, whose blessed Son was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil and make us the children of God and heirs of eternal life: Grant us, we beseech thee, that having this hope, we may purify ourselves as he is pure; that, when he shall appear again with power and great glory, we may be made like unto him in his eternal and glorious kingdom; where with thee, O Father, and thee, O Holy Ghost, he liveth and reigneth ever, one God, world without end. Amen
Morning Prayer will be so much fun tomorrow morning.

I assume you were present at your godson's Confirmation? You're godson is lucky as I'm not sure many godparents take their role as seriously these days. Blessings!
Sadly, no. I was here, feeling ill and sleep-deprived.
Unexpected six hour physics final after writing two papers in two days.
That sucks!
BTW: Fr. John at "meditatio" has posted letters from Bp. Swing and SNAP regarding Fr. Bennison. While not naming names, enough clergy have asked for Fr. Bennison's resignation and for an ecclesiastical trial to get to the bottom of this. I too have sent a letter to Bp. Swing regarding the matter.
Well, at least now I'm free to research again. I managed to get some exciting results today. My sleep schedule, however, is still completely out of whack.
Thanks for pointing me to Fr. John's blog. I should send a letter to Bishop Bruno fairly soon.
