Overall a good article with much I agree with. Though I might add that we can quibble about use of the term justice to begin with at all as terminology only when we find that our lives are already treated with equity or beyond. We can quibble about different visions of justice when we are not directly impacted by the suffering that results for other visions of justice that destroy those affected. For all my love of Rev. AKMA, I still find his discourse often very privileged.
Much of this entry resonated with me in thinking about middle class activists encountering the faithful downtrodden of the world. I've seen it happen. It sometimes isn't good. Finding myself occasionally in the role of one of those middle class activists, I've learned to listen as much as possible, which is very hard. As you can guess, I like to talk.
Again, I apologize for my snarky tone; even were I correct, my tone is not admissable. Lately, I just find myself really snippy. As Lent comes up, that'll be something to work on giving up.

Hmmm...that sounded a bit harsh. Time to go inwardly ponder my own anger a bit.
Hmm... Sorry. It works on my end.

Caelius,
